Of course, I’m looking at this matter as an outsider. But this voting map of Italy shows just how fractured the north and south are. The South is not “Italian” despite what unification promised.

Looking at this, the majority of the south voted for the populist Movimento 5 Stelle. And who is this group? Well it’s run by a blogger and comedian. Not a lot can be expected of a country that voted for a porn star who flashed her tits during an election parade. I’m not sure if that’s any worse than the country who voted in Trump. Anyway.
